AT a high 95 % distillation point, the volatility of diesel fuel is low, which is indicative of high combustion times and poor combustion of heavy hydrocarbons. This will lead to the formation of smoke, loss of power, and increased fuel consumption.
If 95 % distillation is low the volatility is high, then the fuel can cause incidents of ‘vapor lock’ in the lines.
Normally, 95 % of distillation is 350~360 C.
